QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced a civil award for Abdul Razzaq Tareen in recognition of his bravery during the acid attack on Dr Mah Noor Nasir at Quetta’s Civil Hospital.
According to an official statement, Abdul Razzaq Tareen risked his own life to provide immediate assistance to the injured doctor during the tragic incident, helping save her life in the aftermath of the attack.
The chief minister praised Tareen’s courage and sense of duty, describing individuals who display such bravery and selflessness as a source of pride for the nation.
“Abdul Razzaq Tareen’s timely action set a remarkable example of humanity and professional responsibility,” Bugti said, adding that his courage would be acknowledged and appreciated at the national level.
The chief minister said the Balochistan government remained committed to encouraging and recognising people who contribute to the protection of lives and demonstrate exceptional public service.
