LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a detailed meeting with members of the National and Provincial Assemblies and party ticket holders from the Sahiwal Division, focusing on public welfare initiatives, infrastructure restoration, and ongoing reforms across key sectors.

During the meeting, participants discussed progress on projects related to public welfare, law and order, road restoration, the Clean Punjab campaign, and health and transport reforms.

Members of the Assembly from Sahiwal Division praised CM Maryam for the restoration of 20,000 kilometers of roads across Punjab and for her leadership in establishing a modern catheterization laboratory (cath lab) and launching electric buses in major cities.

They described her leadership as people-centric and development-oriented, stating that Punjab is witnessing rapid progress, improved governance, and enhanced peace under her administration.

In response, CM Maryam Nawaz reiterated her commitment to public service, rapid development, and transparent governance, calling these the main agenda of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
“The crime rate in Punjab has significantly decreased, and peace has been restored in both cities and villages,” she said, adding that the revamp of public transport and roads is not only an infrastructural improvement but also a source of employment and prosperity.

The chief minister also highlighted the ‘Suthra Punjab’ (Clean Punjab) initiative, describing it as “not just a cleanliness drive but a new culture of civic responsibility and environmental care.”

The Assembly members lauded her leadership, noting that under her direction, Punjab has become a peaceful, clean, and rapidly developing province. They added that projects like the cath labs and the electro-bus service stand as shining examples of people-friendly governance, benefiting citizens across all walks of life.
