Cold and dry weather expected across most parts of the country

The weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of Pakistan, according to the Meteorological Department.

A Met Office report stated that Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Kashmir are expected to experience cold and dry weather conditions.

In Punjab, most cities are likely to remain cold, while smog may persist in plain areas. The forecast also suggests dry and cold weather in many parts of Balochistan, whereas most districts of Sindh are expected to stay warm.

Rain and hailstorms were reported on Wednesday in Lower Dir, Kalam, Malam Jabba, Balakot, Abbottabad, Islamabad, and Muzaffarabad, which intensified the cold. Following the change in weather, the lowest temperatures were recorded at Leh -3°C, Skardu -1°C, and Babusar 1°C.
