Cold, dry weather expected across Pakistan on Wednesday

WEB DESK: On Wednesday, the weather is expected to be cold and dry in most parts of Pakistan, with severe cold likely in the hilly areas during the morning and night, said the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Smog will blanket the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while fog is anticipated at several locations during the early hours and late night.

Going region by region, in Islamabad and its surrounding areas, cold and dry conditions are forecast throughout the day.

Punjab will experience similar weather, with cold and dry conditions across most districts. However, the hilly regions of Murree and Galiyat will see severe cold, particularly during the morning and night. Smog is expected in cities such as Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Jhelum, Sahiwal, Multan, Khanewal, Kot Addo, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, and their surrounding areas. Fog will also affect a few locations, especially in the morning and night.

Sindh will have dry weather in most areas, with cold temperatures expected in the morning and night.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cold and dry conditions will prevail in most districts, but severe cold is expected in the hilly areas, particularly during the early and late hours. Fog will impact a few places, including Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, DI Khan, and nearby regions, in the morning and night.

Balochistan will experience cold and partly cloudy weather, with severe cold likely in the northern districts during the morning and night.

Similarly, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will see cold and partly cloudy conditions, with severe cold expected in the mornings and nights in these areas as well.
