Committees formed to negotiate seat adjustment between PML-N and IPP

LAHORE: Formal committees have been established by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) to negotiate seat adjustment, according to sources.

PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has formed a committee comprising Khawaja Saad Rafique, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Rana Sanaullah. On the IPP’s side, Ishaq Khakwani has been appointed as the convenor of their committee, with Aun Chaudhry and Nauman Langrial as members, sources informed.

The IPP committee has reportedly prepared a list for seat adjustments, proposing collaboration on 25 National Assembly and 40 Provincial Assembly seats to negotiate with PML-N.

Both parties’ committees are expected to meet next Monday, with the possibility of finalizing the seat adjustment arrangement in a subsequent meeting between Shahbaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen, following the committees’ deliberations.
