A complaint has been filed with the Anti-Corruption Department against the current CEO of Pakistan Expo Centers Private Limited, alleging corruption, misuse of authority, and financial mismanagement.
The complaint states that the CEO misused Rs700 million in development funds allocated for Expo Center projects. It also mentions that two major audit firms, EY and KPMG, withdrew their audit services, indicating financial irregularities within the company.
The CEO is reported to have received an exceptional salary increase from Rs900,000 to Rs2.3 million over two and a half years, as well as Rs15 million in bonuses over just two years.
According to the complainant, the CEO is also accused of misleading the Board of Directors, auditors, and other relevant authorities. The appointment of the CEO is questioned due to a lack of transparency and fairness in the process.
