Condemnations pour in after attack on Hafiz Hamdullah

QUETTA: A series of condemnations from high-ranking officials have followed the tragic incident in Mastung, where a bomb attack targeted Hafiz Hamdullah, the prominent leader and spokesperson for the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), alongside multiple individuals on Thursday.
Balochistan’s Information Minister Jan Achakzai vehemently condemned the attack, vowing that the government is fully committed to identifying and arresting those behind it. He further emphasized that “the peace and harmony of Balochistan will not be compromised.”
Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori expressed deep sorrow over the casualties, naming the blast a conspiracy to undermine the peace and security of the region. “I am praying for a quick recovery of all the injured individuals,” stated Tessori.

Furthermore, caretaker interior minister Sarfaraz Bugti denounced the attack and affirmed the nation’s unity in fighting against terrorism. He also highlighted that there would be “no leniency towards the enemies of peace and progress in the country.”
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, described the incident as “regrettable” and urged for immediate measures to restore peace in the region, including the apprehension of those responsible utilizing “all available resources.”
Balochistan’s Interior Minister, Mir Muhammad Zabir Jamali, echoed other officials’ statements, labelling the incident as “tragic” and pledging to employ all means necessary to bring the terrorists to justice.
Authorities have initiated investigations, and while details remain sparse, Balochistan police said the total number of now stands at 11.
