The investigation officer told the court that the Anti-Corruption Department, Rawalpindi wants to make Fawad Ch part of the investigation being held in a corruption case against him, pleading the court to grant authorities permission to interrogate him in the jail.

Accepting the IO’s request, the court permitted the authorities to investigate Fawad Ch in jail.

On Friday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had initiated an investigation into the alleged interference of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in the Jhelum-Pind Dadan Khan dual carriageway project.

The NAB had asked Fawad Chaudhry to appear before the joint investigation team on November 13 to record his statement.

However his spouse Hiba Fawad has vehemently denied the charges and dubbed it as false and baseless.
