Crusteez Donuts incident: outlet seeks apology from CJP Isa

ISLAMABAD: Crusteez Donuts, a famous bakery outlet in Islamabad, has issued an apology regarding the incident involving one of its employees, who reportedly refused to entertain Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa and instead hurled invectives at him.
A video, the exact date of which is unknown, went viral on social media on Wednesday, showing a salesperson at the bakery refusing to serve a doughnut to Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
Social media reactions to the incident are divided, with most users condemning the employee’s actions, while some are supporting the salesperson.
“At Crusteez Donuts, we are committed to treating every customer with respect and fairness. We are aware of a video circulating where an employee refused service to a customer. This action was an individual decision and does not reflect our company’s values,” read the apology issued by the bakery shop on its social media platforms.
“We are investigating the situation to understand the context fully. While respecting personal beliefs, service should never be denied based on individual opinions. We are reinforcing training across all locations to ensure our teams uphold our standards of inclusivity and professionalism,” it added
“We apologize to the customers involved and to those impacted. Thank you for your understanding as we address this matter.”
