Daughter kills blind Hafiz-e-Quran father for opposing her marriage

OKARA: Police have solved the murder case of a blind Hafiz-e-Quran within 72 hours, revealing that his own daughter was behind the killing. 

According to police, the accused fatally shot her father as he was opposing her marriage. She has confessed to the crime, and the murder weapon has been recovered. 

District Police Officer (DPO) Rashid Hidayat stated that the police traced the suspect using modern forensic techniques and pledged to ensure strict punishment based on solid evidence and a comprehensive charge sheet. 

“No one will be allowed to commit an unjust killing,” the Okara police chief said. 

Cash van robbery mastermind arrested

Meanwhile, in Peshawar, police have arrested the main culprits behind a bank cash van robbery, including the vehicle’s driver, Fazal-ul-Wahab. 

According to SSP Operations, the driver was directly involved in the heist, in which over Rs 30 million was looted.

The police used advanced technology to trace the robbery within 36 hours and arrested three more gang members. 

The incident took place on GT Road, where three armed robbers intercepted the cash van at gunpoint and fled with the money.

CCTV footage of the crime showed masked men stopping the van as it entered a side street before looting it.

House of former IWMB chairperson attacked

On the other hand, the house of former Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) chairperson Rina Saeed Khan was attacked by unknown individuals, whom Rina identified as ‘protesters’.

She filed a complaint at Kohsar Police Station that her residence in sector F-7 came under attack with ‘protesters’ resorting to threaten her as well.

“The attackers pelted stones at my house and issued death threats,” she said, adding that they accused her of her role in demolishing Monal Hotel and causing job losses.
