Deadline for illegal foreigners expires today

ISLAMABAD: Repatriation of illegal foreign nationals including Afghans to their country is continuing and today is the last day for undocumented foreign nationals to leave the country.
The government has asked all undocumented foreign nationals including Afghans to leave Pakistan by Wednesday.
Yesterday, about 3000 Afghans arrived at the Pakistan-Afghan border at Bab-e-Dosti to return to Afghanistan, out of which 800 Afghans who arrived late could not enter Afghanistan due to the closing of the gate at the scheduled time.
The district administration have been making announcements in local mosques of remote areas, neighborhoods and villages of the district to vacate the houses. They have been warned that action will be taken against Afghans and landlords who do not vacate their homes before November 01.

Food was also provided to these Afghan families by setting up a residential camp at Bab-e-Dosti Gate.
According to Deputy Commissioner Chaman Raja Athar Abbas, there has been an extraordinary increase in voluntary repatriation of Afghan citizens.
Pakistan has always played its role as an empathetic and responsible neighbor and has been giving refuge to Afghans for decades.
The repatriation of Afghans is inevitable for sustainable peace of both countries and the region.
They are going back via Torkham and Chaman borders.
