Death toll due to torrential rain rises to 59 in KP

PESHAWAR: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the death toll in rain-related incidents has climbed to ninety-nine, according to a report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.

The report indicates that among the deceased, there are thirty-two children, twelve women, and fourteen men. Additionally, seventy-two individuals sustained injuries in various districts.

The heavy rains have caused complete destruction to four hundred and thirty-six houses and partial damage to two thousand four hundred and fifty-six houses. Furthermore, in areas including Chitral, Dir, Bajaur, Swat, and Bajaur, three hundred and ninety-nine livestock have perished.
