TEHRAN: Iran has clearly said that European countries should refrain from getting involved in the US-Israel war being imposed on Iran, warning that “defensive and offensive terms being used in Europe do not make sense,” and would be regarded as an act of war.
Earlier, Germany, France and Britain expressed that they might be involved in the US-Iran war to destroy the ballistic missiles in Iran. In response to this, Iran warned them of such an act, as for them it would be treated as an act of war.
“Any complicity with aggressors will be regarded as an act of war against Iran”, adding, “Defensive is a synonym for offensive, [and] it does not make sense.” But that would a shame if Germany, France and Britain take the side of the aggressor, a spokesperson said. He added, “Enough is enough”.
On Tuesday evening, an Israeli strike targeted Iran’s powerful Assembly of Experts building in the holy city of Qom, Iranian media reported on Tuesday, as fighting between Iran, Israel and the United States intensified across the region.
Iran’s Mehr News Agency said that the attack struck the Assembly of Experts building, the clerical body responsible for overseeing and selecting Iran’s next supreme leader.
Iranian media reported the structure was destroyed.
Iran media said that explosions were also reported in Tehran and the western city of Karaj, including near Revolution Square in the capital.
The Israeli military issued evacuation warnings for the Hakimiyeh industrial area in Tehran and Payam International Airport in Karaj, saying strikes would follow “in the coming hours.”
