Dengue cases on the rise in Punjab: 82 new infections in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: The dengue outbreak in Punjab continues to escalate, with 82 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, as disclosed by the Secretary of Health in an official statement.
So far this year, Punjab has recorded a staggering 810 confirmed cases of dengue. Lahore, the provincial capital, witnessed a surge in cases with 36 new infections reported within the past day.
Dengue cases surge in the capital: 45 new cases in 24 Hours
In Rawalpindi, 19 new dengue patients were diagnosed yesterday, further underscoring the growing concern. Multan has also been grappling with the virus, with a total of 232 dengue cases reported so far this year.
In addition to these cities, new cases emerged in Gujranwala, Bahawalnagar, and Chakwal, with two dengue patients identified in each of these locations, as stated by the spokesperson.
