Destruction of past years can not be fixed forthwith: Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif stated on Wednesday that the devastation observed in the past six to seven years cannot be rectified within a year or two. He said that Nawaz Sharif aspires to recommence the disrupted journey that came to an end in 2017 amid clashes and confrontations.

During a press conference in Lahore, Shehbaz Sharif saud that the destiny of Pakistan rests in the hands of its people, who hold the power to shape the nation’s future through their votes.

Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan experienced progress in 2018 under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, citing the successful resolution of the long-standing issue of load shedding. However, he lamented that a sinister conspiracy unfolded, precipitating a decline in various facets of the nation.

The PML-N president further said the plot led to a severe economic crisis, resulting in the breach of agreements with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
