DG ISPR COMSATS

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), will hold a key press conference today to provide updates on the situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The briefing is scheduled for 4:00 PM, during which the DG ISPR will discuss recent developments, security measures, and operational responses along the frontier. Media representatives will be informed of important points regarding security matters and will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Officials said the press conference aims to provide a clear and comprehensive update on the current border situation and Pakistan Army operations in response to cross-border incidents.

Operation Ghazab lil-Haq

Pakistan has launched Operation Ghazab lil-Haq in response to what it described as unprovoked firing by the Afghan Taliban across the border. The Pakistan Air Force carried out airstrikes on military installations in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia, with Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities acknowledging the strikes.

Political leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and opposition PTI figures, have expressed unified support for the armed forces, vowing to defend territorial integrity. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif accused the Taliban of acting as a proxy to export terrorism. DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry is set to brief the media at 4pm.
