Dianna Russini, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel spark buzz after intimate hotel photos surface

Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel

Dianna Russini and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel have come under scrutiny after photos surfaced showing the two together at a luxury Arizona resort, with both currently married to other people.

Images published by Page Six appear to show the senior NFL insider and the Patriots coach holding hands, embracing and spending time together at the Ambiente hotel in Sedona, an adults-only retreat known for its secluded, romantic setting.

The sighting, backed by eyewitness accounts, has fuelled speculation online, even as both deny any suggestion of impropriety.

Married figures at centre of speculation

Russini, 43, has been married to Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt since 2020, and the couple share two children.

Vrabel, 50, has been married to his wife Jen since 1999, and they have two sons.

The fact that both are married has intensified reaction to the images, with questions raised about the nature of their interaction despite their professional ties.

According to Page Six, the pair were seen together across several moments during the day, including breakfast at the hotel restaurant, relaxing by the pool and later standing closely on the rooftop of a private bungalow.

Photos appear to show them hugging at sunset and standing face-to-face, with one eyewitness claiming they briefly danced.

Several sources told the outlet they did not see others with the pair, despite claims they were part of a wider group.

Both deny wrongdoing

Vrabel dismissed the speculation, saying: “These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable.”

Russini also said the images lack context, adding that reporters often interact with sources outside formal settings.

An editor at The Athletic defended her, describing the photos as misleading and reaffirming her reputation as a leading NFL journalist.

Long-standing professional link

Russini, who joined The Athletic in 2023 after a long stint at ESPN, has covered Vrabel’s career for years, including his time as head coach of the Tennessee Titans.

The resurfaced images have placed that professional relationship under renewed scrutiny.
