CM Naqvi took the initiative to engage with citizens patiently waiting in long lines. He personally spoke with individuals seeking licences and learner permits, gaining valuable insights into their experiences.
Expressing concern for the waiting citizens, CM Naqvi instructed the installation of canopies and provided comfort by ringing for those waiting outside the Driver’s Licence Office Traffic Police at Liberty Market, Lahore, particularly considering the cold weather.
Continuing his inspection, Minister Naqvi carefully assessed various counters at the driving licence office in Liberty, where citizens voiced their grievances about long waiting times.
In response to these concerns, CM Naqvi announced a significant change effective December 25th, allowing citizens to schedule appointments in advance when visiting the service centre.
Furthermore, he revealed plans for the imminent availability of licence and learner application installations on both Android and Apple platforms.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to convenience, Mohsin Naqvi assured citizens that licence applications could soon be processed seamlessly through the website.
In a broader context, the Chief Minister hinted at upcoming improvements in the working environment of police stations, paralleling the positive changes witnessed in service centres.
Accompanying CM Naqvi during this visit were high-ranking officials, including the Inspector General of Police, CCPO, and other key personnel, emphasising the government’s collaborative approach towards enhancing public services.
