Drug dealers in Pindi caught with heroin and charas

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police arrested 13 drug peddlers and recovered 1620 grams of heroin, over 8 kilograms of charras, 30 bottles of liquor, a pistol, and a dagger in raids conducted in different areas of the city.

The arrests were made in Rawat, Sadiqabad, Westridge, Saddar Baroni, R.A. Bazaar, Civil Lines, and Airport police stations. The accused have been identified as Ishrat Mehmood, Jahanzaib, Nazakat, Mohsin, Tahir, Ubaidullah, Saad Ali, Zohaib, Usman, Ali Naveed, Rashid, Zeeshan, Muhammad Ijaz, and Waheed.

Separate cases have been registered against all accused and further investigations are underway.

This is part of a crackdown launched by Rawalpindi police against drug peddlers and bootleggers. In the last two weeks, police have arrested 246 accused and recovered over 200 kilograms of charras, 788 liters of liquor, 470 grams of heroin, and 50 grams of Ice drug.

The police have urged the public to come forward and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
