Drugs worth millions of dollars seized in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) made a significant drug bust in the coastal town of Pasni, Balochistan, on Sunday.

Acting on intelligence, PCG personnel located and seized approximately 1,488 kg of hashish. With an estimated value of $24.83 million, the drugs, hidden in the Kalanch area, were destined for international markets.

In a parallel operation, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in Jadeedabad area of Mustung made another significant seizure by intercepting 25 ‘Zambad’ trucks believed to be involved in smuggling.

Initial investigations suggest that the trucks were illicitly transporting around 100 tonnes of sugar into Afghanistan.

Further investigations are ongoing in both cases as per officials.
