Dry, cold weather likely to continue nationwide


WEB DESK: With October entering its last week, the Meteorological Department has forecast dry weather in most parts of the country. According to the department, the weather will remain dry across much of Pakistan today, while hilly areas are expected to experience cold conditions at night and in the early morning.

Due to the persistent dry weather and air pollution, districts in eastern Punjab are likely to remain under the influence of smog. Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather is expected to remain dry, while Murree, Galiyat, and nearby regions will likely experience dry and cold conditions.

Smog is expected in Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Multan.

Dry and cold weather has been forecast for most districts of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, while Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are also expected to remain cold.

During the past 24 hours, the weather remained dry in most parts of the country and cold in the hilly regions.
