LONDON: Duke of Marlborough Charles James Spencer-Churchill has been accused of non-fatal intentional strangulation between November 2022 and May 2024.
The 70-year-old Duke of Marlborough, who is a relative of Sir Winston Churchill and Diana, will appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, sources close to Oxford magistrates’ court said.
The news confirmed that the Duke, whose family own Blenheim Palace, has now been charged of three non-fatal intentional strangulation which allegedly took place in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, against the same person.

Spencer-Churchill is believed to have had a long battle with drug addiction in the past and is the 12th Duke of Marlborough and a member of one of Britain’s most aristocratic families.
His grandfather family home is the 300-year-old Blenheim Palace in Woodstock.
