Dunkin’ announces 1mln free coffees offer amid Tuesday buzz over ‘code’ confusion

DETROIT: Dunkin’ has once again rolled out a major promotion offering up to 1 million free coffees across the United States, sparking confusion among customers over whether a redemption code is required.

Reports circulating ahead of Tuesday morning suggested that coffee lovers would need a special code to claim the offer. However, sources indicate that no code is required to start the day with a free cup.

The promotion, however, is believed to be limited to rewards members, with eligibility applying to the first one million customers on Tuesday, May 19, according to reports.

Dunkin’ has not clearly confirmed whether the offer is exclusive to its rewards program this time, adding to the uncertainty among customers.

The company also shared a promotional video on its Instagram Story showing a “WANTED” style poster reading: “BOUNTY: 1,000,000 free coffees Tuesday,” as reported by USA TODAY.
