WEB DESK: The renowned Pakistani actor Dur-e-Fishan Saleem has revealed that her first project was initially intended to be a movie.

However, she opted out of the project due to the objectification of women depicted in the film.

The actor, famous for her role in “Ishq Murshid,” shared with a digital magazine that the project eventually went ahead with another actor. She expressed gratitude to God for not being a part of it.

“My only concern whenever I’ll do a film will be, to do what I am comfortable in. And it’s not about singing and dancing, I love to sing and dance, in fact, I am a trained Kathak dancer, but at the same time, I want to represent our society,” she added.

The actor, who initially entered television with a supporting role, disclosed that she had also been offered a leading role. However, she made the deliberate choice to portray a supporting character in her debut rather than commit to a main role in a soap opera and endure the demanding schedule of 100 or 200 days.
