Durrani demands probe into terrorists’ access to US weapons

ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and senior politician Mohammad Ali Durrani has called for an investigation into where and how the latest US weapons have reached terrorists active against Pakistan.

In his statement issued on Sunday, Durrani highlighted that a new wave of terrorism against Pakistan is being orchestrated with US weapons and modern technology.

Similar weaponry and technology are being utilized by Israel against Palestinians, he said.

He stated that to combat terrorism effectively, America should assist Pakistan with its latest technology, as it is in the interest of both the United States and global peace.

The former federal minister expressed concern that if the supply of new weapons to terrorists is not halted, the possibility of another 9/11 cannot be ruled out.

He emphasized that the presence of the latest weapons and technology among terrorists poses a significant threat to global and regional security.

Durrani urged international cooperation to address this pressing issue and work towards eliminating the menace of terrorism.
