Earthquake shakes Dhaka again

Dhaka: People in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka felt earthquake tremors once again, sending many rushing out of their homes and offices.

According to the seismic center, two tremors struck the city today, with the first measured 3.7 and the second 4.3 on the Richter scale, occurring just a second apart.

This follows yesterday’s stronger quake of 5.7 magnitude that caused deaths, injured hundreds, and left cracks in several buildings. The US Geological Survey placed the epicentre of this quake near Narsingdi, roughly 40 kilometres east of Dhaka.
