Earthquake tremors jolt Islamabad, adjoining areas

ISLAMABAD: Earthquake tremors measuring 5.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit areas in and around Islamabad at 3:19 p.m on Monday. The depth of the earthquake was 140 kilometers underground, and the epicenter was Duda Occupied Kashmir, according to the seismological center. Minor tremors were also felt in Peshawar, Mingora and adjoining areas. Earthquake tremors jolt parts of KP People came out of their houses and offices in fear by reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba. No loss of life or damage to property has been reported yet.
