Earthquake tremors rock Delhi

WEB DESK: A 3.1 magnitude earthquake shook the Indian capital of New Delhi on Sunday, according to the country’s National Center for Seismology. The epicentre of the quake was 13 kilometres away from the city of Faridabad in Haryana.

The earthquake occurred at 4.08pm Indian Standard Time.

Separately, Southern regions of Afghanistan experienced a powerful earthquake today, marking the third such seismic event in just nine days.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) said in its report, that the epicentre of the tremor was 30 km north-west of Herat, Afghanistan’s third-largest city close to the Iranian border.

So far no death toll has been reported.
