ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued a notice to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for allegedly concealing assets.

A two-member ECP bench issued a brief written verdict on a plea regarding Gandapur’s alleged concealment of assets.

Gandapur was served a notice by the District Election Commissioner based on a plea filed by Muhammad Kafeel of the JUI-F.

The verdict stated that, according to the applicant, 735-kanal of land in Dera Ismail Khan was temporarily transferred to Gandapur’s name.

According to the verdict, the applicant claimed that the original owner of the transferred land was Asif Khan, but Gandapur bought a car by selling the same land.

According to the applicant, Gandapur is not eligible to sit in the provincial assembly owing to his false statement.

The ECP has directed Gandapur to appear before the District Election Commissioner on March 26 to submit his reply.
