Eight killed in Kandhkot explosion

KANDHKOT: Eight individuals, including children, have tragically lost their lives, and four others sustained injuries in an explosion involving explosive materials.

Local authorities have swiftly responded, with the injured individuals being promptly transported to the hospital, as reported by the police.

According to the police, a family was breaking the munition of a rocket launcher when it exploded killing eight people and injuring four. According to eye witnesses the family had found the munition from an unknown place and had theintention to sell it in the local market.

The affected area has been cordoned off, and ongoing investigations are underway. Police sources indicate that the condition of some of the injured individuals currently receiving medical care is critical.

This incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Ghoghat police station in the Muhammad Nawaz Sabzoi goth area.

The Kandhkot Police and Rangers have cordoned off the area.

In response to this tragedy, Chief Minister Sindh Maqbool Baqir has taken immediate notice and expressed profound sorrow over the loss of life.

He has directed the Inspector General of Police (IG) to provide a report detailing how the explosive material came to be in Sabzoi Goth.

The Chief Minister has raised questions about whether the explosive material was smuggled in its raw form or if there were accomplices involved in facilitating this incident.

The Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh has issued clear instructions to the IG Police, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive report on this matter.
