Eight terrorists killed in two intelligence-based operation: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the killing of eight terrorists in an exchange of gunfire, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the operation, five terrorists and facilitators were apprehended. These terrorists were involved in attacking security forces, the ISPR said.
According to the ISPR, the first operation was carried out in the Jani Khel area of Bannu district. During the operation, six terrorists were killed and five others arrested.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists were not only actively engaged in terrorist activities but also involved in facilitating suicide attacks against security forces in the Jani Khel area.

The second operation took place in the Datta Khel region of North Waziristan. Two terrorists were killed in an intense exchange of fire during the operation.
Weapons and ammunition were seized from the possession of the terrorists.
“Security forces are currently conducting operations in the areas to eliminate any remaining potential threats,” the ISPR said.
“Local residents expressed their appreciation for the successful operation conducted by security forces. The security forces remain resolute in their commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
