WEB DESK: Swedish freight technology company Einride AB expects its revenue growth rate to more than double in the second half of 2026, as it announced plans to add 500 Tesla Semi trucks to its fleet.
The company said the first Tesla Semi deployments are expected in September, with the deal to be financed through third-party funding.
The addition of the trucks is expected to nearly triple Einride’s deployed fleet to around 750 vehicles. The company is targeting cash-flow breakeven by 2028, when it expects to operate approximately 1,500 to 2,000 trucks.
Einride expects its constant-currency revenue growth in the second half of 2026 to more than double from a year earlier as deployments expand across the United States and Europe.
“We’re getting to a point where we get access to the hardware in the form that we want and need and now that’s where the software comes in,” CEO Roozbeh Charli told Reuters, referring to the company’s technology for efficiently deploying vehicles across its network.
With Tesla’s addition, Einride now sources trucks from five to six manufacturers, including Netherlands-based DAF, Charli said.
The company reported a 26 per cent year-on-year increase in constant-currency revenue during the first half of 2026, driven by higher customer volumes and fleet deployments.
However, its net loss widened to 117.56 million, mainly due to one-time listing, recapitalisation and share-based compensation charges related to its Nasdaq debut.
Einride, which went public on Nasdaq in June through a merger with a blank-check company, develops electric and autonomous freight technology. Its shares had fallen more than 50 per cent from their debut price as of Monday’s close before surging 17 per cent in premarket trading on Tuesday following the announcement.
