Elections 2024: nomination papers of Imran Khan, other PTI leaders rejected

LAHROE: The nomination papers of Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), have been rejected in the constituencies of Lahore and Mianwali.

Imran Khan’s nomination papers for the National Assembly constituency NA-122 were not accepted. Mian Nasir leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), raised objections, contending that the PTI founder had been disqualified in the Toshakhana case.

The Returning Officer for NA-122 rejected the nomination papers stating that the PTI founder was considered a convicted person.

Additionally, the nomination papers for NA-89 Mianwali were also rejected for the PTI founder.
