She revealed her preference for Emma, claiming that she chose the name due to being a fan of “Baby Spice”, a member of the famous 90s girls-group Spice Girls, of which Victoria Beckham was also a member.
Emma Stone also revealed that she made the decision to adopt the name “Emma” because “Emily Stone” was already in use by another actress in the industry.

The “Poor Things” actress went on to state that despite initially opting for the name change, she later experienced a change of heart. Stone said she even contemplated reverting to her real name.
However, the actress acknowledged that despite her change of heart, she will not revert her professional name back to “Emily” due to the familiarity associated with her current professional identity.
