Enemy 'stunned' by Pakistan’s military capability in May clash: air chief

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu said on Saturday that “enemy was stunned” by Pakistan’s military strength and skill during the May clash.

Addressing a passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul as the chief guest, Sidhu said Pakistan’s military operations “Maarka-e-Haq” and “Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” had been closely observed by the world.

“The Pakistan Army’s strategy was seen globally, while the Pakistan Air Force not only shot down enemy aircraft but also made history,” he said.

He praised the political and military leadership for their efforts to promote peace at the international level, saying Pakistan was a peaceful country that believed in resolving conflicts through dialogue.

The air chief marshal warned that any aggression against Pakistan would be met with a “strong and decisive response,” adding that Pakistan would continue to support Kashmiris in Indian-administered Kashmir.

“Cadets’ fundamental responsibility is to ensure the security of the country,” he said.

A total of cadets from the 153rd PMA Long Course, 38th Technical Graduate Course, 72nd Integrated Course, 15th Mujahid Course, and 27th Lady Cadet Course took part in the passing-out parade, according to a military statement.

The ceremony marked the commissioning of future officers into Pakistan’s armed forces amid renewed emphasis on operational readiness and professional training.
