Eugene Mirman pulled from burning car after crash leaves ‘Bob’s Burgers’ star seriously injured

Eugene Mirman, best known for voicing Gene Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, was seriously injured after being pulled from a burning car following a crash in New Hampshire, authorities said.

The 51-year-old actor was involved in a single-vehicle crash at a toll plaza in Bedford on March 31. According to New Hampshire State Police, the vehicle caught fire on impact, leaving Mirman trapped inside.

Rescued from burning vehicle

A state trooper arriving at the scene saw the car engulfed in flames and pulled Mirman out through a window, bringing him to safety.

Officials said bystanders, along with New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte, also assisted at the scene.

Mirman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Authorities confirmed that no charges have been filed, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

‘Very scary’ incident

In a statement shared with media, a representative for Mirman described the crash as a “very scary car accident”.

He thanked first responders and those who helped rescue him, adding that he is now recovering.

“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries,” the statement said.

Known for Bob’s Burgers and beyond

Mirman is widely recognised for his role on Bob’s Burgers, and has appeared in several television shows including Flight of the ConchordsBroad City and Archer.

He has also featured in films such as The Bob’s Burgers Movie and Confess, Fletch, and co-founded the comedy production company Pretty Good Friends.
