‘Euphoria’ season 3 trailer drops with weddings, drugs and chaos ahead of return

Euphoria season 3

HBO has released a new trailer for Euphoria season 3, offering a first look at the long-awaited return of the hit drama led by Zendaya.

The series is set to premiere on April 12, with the latest footage hinting at a far more intense and unpredictable chapter.

Trailer hints at rising stakes and shocking twists

The trailer opens with Rue, played by Zendaya, being interrogated in Mexico after becoming entangled with drug dealers.

She is shown acting as a mule and swallowing unknown substances, signalling a dangerous escalation in her storyline.

At the same time, major twists unfold for other characters. Cassie and Nate, played by Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, appear to get married, while Cassie is also seen reuniting with Maddy, played by Alexa Demie, to film cam girl content.

Together, the scenes point to a season that raises the stakes across every storyline, with riskier choices and more chaotic consequences.

Fans are confused by chaotic trailer

The trailer has already sparked confusion online, with viewers questioning how the storylines connect and what direction the new season is taking.

From sudden character shifts to high-stakes moments like Rue’s situation in Mexico and the apparent wedding, fans have been trying to piece together what is real and what might be misleading.

Some viewers have also pointed out the sharp tonal shift, suggesting the series could be heading into even darker territory than before.

Returning cast and major new names

Alongside its core cast, including Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow and Colman Domingo, the new season also introduces a wide range of new faces.

These include Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne and Marshawn Lynch.

Where the characters are now

Creator Sam Levinson previously teased where key characters find themselves after high school.

Jules is attending art school and struggling with direction, Maddy is working at a Hollywood talent agency while managing side hustles, and Lexi is assisting a showrunner played by Sharon Stone.

With darker storylines, major character shifts and new additions to the cast, Euphoria season 3 is shaping up to be one of HBO’s most talked-about releases of the year.
