Ex-PTI MPA’s brother, nephew shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: In a recent wave of crime, two people were killed and three were injured after unidentified people opened fire on the vehicle of MPA’s brother in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Wednesday.

Police said 65-year-old Akram Abro and his son Shaharyar Abri lost their lives in the incident. The suspects targeted the vehicle of former PTI MPA Aslam Abaro’s brother.

The suspects opened indiscriminate fire and fled the scene. The dead and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. Police and forensic teams arrived at the crime scene and lifted necessary evidence.

Police said the motive for the shooting is not yet known but it is believed to be old family enmity.
