Ex-wife shares video of Imad Wasim’s ‘second marriage’

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has allegedly remarried, according to social media posts shared by his former wife, though neither the cricketer nor the woman named in the reports has publicly confirmed the claim.
Wasim’s former spouse, Sania Ashfaq, shared a video on social media appearing to show Wasim with influencer Naila Raja at what she described as a wedding ceremony, alleging that the two had entered into a second marriage.
In posts accompanying the video, Ashfaq accused Wasim of failing to consider their children and described the situation as a betrayal.
She said she and her children had endured hardship and were seeking justice.
HUM News English could not independently verify the claims. Wasim and Raja have not issued public statements confirming or denying the reported marriage.
Wasim and Sania Ashfaq met in London and were married for six years. The couple have three children: a daughter born in 2021, a son born in 2022 and another son born in 2025.
In December 2025, Wasim announced his separation from Ashfaq, citing domestic reasons. At the time, Sania Ashfaq indicated on social media that the cricketer had developed a relationship with another woman, without naming anyone.
Earlier, in a statement on Instagram, Sania Ashfaq said that her home had been broken, her children had been deprived of their father, and that their five-month-old baby had not yet been held by his father.
According to Sania, there were difficulties during the marriage but the relationship continued as she tried her best to fulfil her responsibilities as a wife and mother.
She said that matters deteriorated when a ‘third person’ entered their married life and expressed a desire to marry Imad Wasim.
She said that for the sake of the children’s future and the dignity of the household, she endured mental distress and harsh behaviour.
Earlier, breaking his silence over the long-rumoured separation with Sania Ashfaq, Imad had said that divorce from Sania came after repeated conflicts that couldn’t be addressed over the past few years.
He said in the statement that he has filed for divorce, putting an end to months of speculation about their separation.
Wasim has represented Pakistan in international cricket and has also featured in domestic and franchise leagues.
