Thai police have arrested two suspects in connection with the attack. One of the suspects is believed to be a member of the Karen National Union (KNU), an ethnic minority group active in neighboring Myanmar. However, the KNU has denied any involvement.

The motive behind the attack remains under investigation. Authorities are exploring various possibilities, including personal disputes and potential links to regional conflicts.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and ordered a thorough investigation into the matter. She also directed increased security measures at public events across the country.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the nation, highlighting the potential dangers of extremist violence, even in seemingly peaceful areas.
