Fawad announces to contest election from Jhelum

Islamabad: Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhary has announced that he would contest national and provincial assembly elections from Jhelum.

According to daily Express, he talked about the importance of national politics saying that a majority of politicians in Jhelum do local politics and his candidacy will make a marked difference at the national level.

Fawad previously indicated to play a role in the national politics despite his announcement of quitting it after he was released from jail followiing his repeated arrests and detantion on charges of instigating riots on May 9 that saw vandalisation of public and private property and arsoning of military installations across the country.

He said that “250 million people cannot be left at the mercy of Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Fazlur Rehman.”
