Federal Interior Secretary Abdullah Khan Sumbal passes away

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Secretary Abdullah Khan Sumbal passed away in Lahore on Wednesday after battling illness.

Sumbul, who had been ailing for some time, had taken charge as the interior secretary on August 20.

Abdullah Khan Sumbal had previously held key positions, having served as the chief secretary of Punjab and Commissioner Lahore. His demise occurred in Lahore while he was being transferred to the hospital due to deteriorating health conditions, and he passed away during the journey.

Minister of Interior Sarfraz Bugti expressed his heartfelt condolences to Sumbal’s family on this somber occasion.

Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also conveyed his sorrow, describing Abdullah Sumbal as an honest and dedicated professional in the public service.
