Federal ministers reaffirm support for armed forces in fight against terrorism

WEB DESK: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday held a meeting with federal ministers belonging to allied parties to discuss the overall security landscape and internal stability, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

The meeting was attended by PML-Q leader Chaudhry Salik Hussain, MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Balochistan Awami Party leader Khalid Magsi.

During the session, Naqvi briefed the participants on the prevailing situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, outlining measures being taken to maintain law and order and strengthen counterterrorism efforts. He also shared details of steps implemented to ensure peace and enhance coordination among security institutions.

The federal ministers lauded the sincere efforts of the field marshal in maintaining stability and combating militancy. They declared unequivocal support for the security forces, stating they would stand shoulder to shoulder with them in the fight against terrorism.

Reaffirming their collective resolve, the ministers pledged to continue working together to eliminate terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the country.
