FIA arrests fake visa sellers in Karachi

KARACHI: In a significant move against human smuggling, the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle of Karachi, under the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), arrested two suspects on charges of selling fake visas for overseas employment on Friday.

The arrests took place at Generator Market of Karachi.

One of the apprehended individuals has a previous criminal record, making the arrest even more significant for the authorities.

A spokesperson for the FIA revealed that the suspects were not only involved in the fraudulent visa trade but were also implicated in producing counterfeit documents for the Italian embassy, selling them for millions of rupees with a promise of getting them italian work permits.

The FIA has since registered formal cases against the suspects, and a comprehensive investigation is underway.
