FIA summons Shandana Gulzar

ISLAMABAD: Former Tehreek-e-Insaf Member of the National Assembly, Shandana Gulzar, has been summoned by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The summons, issued for March 14, alleges her involvement in campaigning against state authorities and inciting public sentiments.

Failure to comply with the summons would imply a lack of defense from Gulzar’s end, as per the FIA notice.

The summon was initiated based on a written complaint by Shoaib Mirza. Gulzar has been directed to appear at the FIA Cybercrime Reporting Center in Lahore on the specified date.

Meanwhile Punjab Information and Broadcasting Minister Uzma Bukhari has asserted that Shandana Gulzar is involved in tarnishing the image of Pakistan’s institutions, emphasizing the importance of addressing the allegations that she has levelled.

Speaking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, Bukhari said a complaint has been lodged against Gulzar with the FIA. She urged Shandana Gulzar to cooperate with the investigation and present evidence to substantiate her claims.
