Field Marshal Asim Munir visits National Police Academy, pays tribute to martyrs

ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the National Police Academy in Islamabad, where he was warmly received by the Academy’s Commandant. The visit was also attended by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Minister of State for Interior.
Guard of Honor and Tribute to Martyrs
The Field Marshal was presented with a guard of honor by a well-disciplined police contingent. During the visit, he laid a floral wreath at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial and recited prayers, paying tribute to officers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Acknowledging Police Sacrifices in Security Challenges
Field Marshal Munir praised the police for their steadfast commitment and sacrifices in combating terrorism, crime, and internal security threats. He highlighted the importance of a strong, professional, and citizen-focused police force for maintaining law and order.
Commitment to Law Enforcement Support
He emphasised that ensuring peace and public safety is a sacred duty of the police and reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces will always stand alongside the country’s courageous and honorable police officers. The Field Marshal also received a briefing on the School for High Impact Elite Law Enforcement Development at the Academy.
