Field Marshal Munir holds key meetings with Turkish, Saudi defence ministers

WEB DESK: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held separate meetings with the Turkish and Saudi defence ministers during his visit to Turkiye, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The meetings focused on matters of mutual interest and ways to further enhance defence cooperation, according to the ISPR’s media wing.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also held meetings with Turkiye’s foreign minister and the Turkish Chief of General Staff.

During his visit, the army chief participated in a meeting of the Strategic Committee established under the Makkah Agreement.

The meeting reviewed measures to strengthen strategic coordination and further expand defence cooperation among Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia.

The three brotherly countries reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen their strategic and defence ties, ISPR said.
