Fire engulfs Karachi shopping emporium, several motorcycles destroyed

WEB DESK: A fire erupted in the parking area of Irum Shopping Emporium in the Buffer Zone on Saturday, destroying several motorcycles and prompting a major rescue and firefighting operation.

Two fire brigade vehicles were immediately dispatched to the scene, where thick smoke billowed from the site, complicating efforts to contain the blaze, according to 24 News.

Rescuers worked to evacuate individuals trapped inside the building, successfully saving a minor girl and several others who had been stranded.

Firefighters reported facing significant challenges due to the dense smoke but confirmed that the fire has now been fully extinguished. A cooling process is currently underway at the site.

No loss of life has been reported so far from the incident.
