WEB DESK: Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the military’s media wing said on Monday.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on August 10 as part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign against what security forces described as foreign-sponsored terrorist elements.

The ISPR said security forces recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the site following the operation. The recovered material was subsequently destroyed, while sanitisation operations were carried out to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies are continuing counter-terrorism operations under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan, the statement added.

The campaign will continue with “full pace” to eliminate what security forces described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country, according to the statement.
