FKA Twigs has reignited her legal battle with Shia LaBeouf, accusing him of attempting to “silence” her through a controversial non-disclosure agreement tied to their past settlement.
In a new complaint filed in Los Angeles, the singer, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, claims LaBeouf used a “secret” legal filing to pursue what she described as an “exorbitant” payout over an alleged breach of NDA terms.
The dispute stems from a 2025 settlement linked to her original 2020 lawsuit, in which she accused the actor of sexual battery, assault and emotional distress during their relationship.

According to the filing, LaBeouf alleged that Twigs violated the agreement after she made general comments in an interview about not feeling “safe”.
Her legal team has pushed back, arguing that the NDA provisions are unlawful under California’s Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act and should be declared void.
Twigs is now seeking a judicial ruling that the agreement’s confidentiality clauses are unenforceable.
The legal fight comes just weeks after LaBeouf quietly dropped his own complaint against her, marking yet another twist in a years-long dispute that has continued to resurface.
At the same time, the actor is facing fresh legal trouble unrelated to the case.
LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans following a Mardi Gras altercation, where he was accused of engaging in a bar fight. He was initially charged with two counts of simple battery and later faced an additional charge linked to the same incident.

Reports at the time described him allegedly throwing punches and using offensive language during the confrontation.
He was released on a $100,000 bond and ordered to attend rehabilitation and undergo drug testing as part of the case.
Twigs’ latest filing also alleges that LaBeouf himself spoke publicly about their situation in an interview despite the existence of the NDA, further undermining his claims.
The pair’s legal battle dates back to December 2020, when Twigs first filed her lawsuit. The case was eventually settled out of court in 2025, just months before it was due to go to trial.
In a joint statement at the time, both parties said they had agreed to “forge a constructive path forward”.
However, the renewed legal action suggests that the conflict is far from over.
